Day 16 - McLaren Vale wineries, Boomer training and Goodbye Barbi

Our last 24 hours in Adelaide. A beautiful day where our group decided to get nasty. Part of the group went for a good surf at Eliot Bay, and managed to  surf between the Southern Right Whales.

The other part went for a classic shopping into one of the most beautiful shopping centers of Central South East Adelaide. But the most active part of the group went for culture. Culture in McLaren Vale, home of the reddies and the whities. Our tour operator Mark Hamilton was supported by Casper White, a Kenian who studied oenology. Fifteen team members and host families went on a tour, visiting four wineries.

Various good white wines (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Muller), redwines (Cap Sav, Shiraz, Merlot) and sparkling wines were tasted. Even tawned wines, the fortifiers were added to our wish lists. By the end of the day our full crew was tired but satisfied.

In the evening Edwin visited the Boomers' training with Mark Hamilton. In a couple of small steps the whole week was repeated, given the players a chance to come up with new ideas and new exercises to build up a new range of challenges for A-grade, B-grade and C-grade players.

The final part of the day consisted of a beautiful Farewell Barbi. We would like to thank all our host families for the beautiful time we were able to spend in this korfball community. Tomorrow we have a travel day, flying in the afternoon to Sydney.
