Day 11 - Salisbury High School and The Duke of York

For the first time this trip we met a day with rain. At a school about 40 minutes north of Adelaide we had an early session arranged with kids from Salisbury High School. We arranged our korfs, set up a small training and almost directly started to play a match. Some students were very agile and picked up the techniques rather quickly. Some others were more interested in scoring and waited for the balls to be thrown at them.
In small groups we gave them some more specific instructions and we ended up with a challenge against our PromoTour players. During the second clinic we met a very enthusiastic group, we even played against the PE teachers and at the end during the challenge they outplayed one of our players.

The afternoon program at Salisbury High School consisted of an exhibition game during the lunch break of the school. About 250 students were watching the game (not having a bud though) and cheering at most of the goals. Both orange and white team scored the whole scale of shots. Distance, shorties, trick shots and free passes.

After the match we planned our first outdoor clinic of the day, unfortunately due to heavy showers we were not able to get the students over and had to cancel our clinic.

In the evening we managed to get the whole team including our host families together at The Duke of York, downtown Adelaide. Some of us arrived on time, some of us late! Some of us went home early, some of us early in the morning.
