Day 15 - finally a day off!

Today a real sleep in for most of the players. Various programs in different families. Lots of good stories and it wasn't all about shopping. Some of the players went to Cleland conservation park.

I went with Jorge Alves and the Branfords on a lovely trip to the south coast. We went from Strathalbyn to Goolwa to see the Goolwa lagoon with its pelicans and seals. We had a lovely lunch with local seefood at the Corio hotel.

On our way to the west we landed in Middleton and Port Eliot near the Horseshoebay. Between the surfers of Middleton we saw a couple of Southern Right Whales [Zuidkapers], including a calf. It is the same species that injured a surfer earlier this week at Bondi Beach.

From Port Eliot we went to Victor Harbor, a former whaling station at the peninsular approximately 80 km south of Adelaide. We walked the causeway leading to Granite island where we saw pelicans, pinguins, dolphins and quailes.

In the evening the Australian open team hosted the Orange Promotour playing a match for 4 x 20 minutes. The first 40 minutes we played 23-6. The last 40 minutes we played in mixed teams. This was our last korfball appearance in Adelaide. Tomorrow we have a tour through the wineries and part of the group is going to surf. Wednesday is a travel day to Sydney.
